Indeed, that's the purpose however, there is one drawback: the possibility to erase the configuration of an existing project...

So either I simplify the deployment: one package but with an enormous disclaimer either I provide two packages: myshmup and myshmup-setup-project-once

I think I'll choose the two packages way becausz of the potential risks ;)

Ok, here it is:

myshmup-setup-project-once.unitypackage

This Unity 3D package will help you configure any new project / scene in your shmup. Mainly layers for collision purpose, tags (which will be used by the framework etc...).

WARNING / DISCLAIMER:

Importing this package will ERASE any previous setup so use at your own risks!

I strongly advise you to perform a backup of the Library and ProjectSettings directories if this package is imported on an existing project!

Today, some little coding to help design a shmup level: display music in game.

The goal is to be able to place ennemies, background according to the music being played. It answers the questions such as, where can I put my boss so that it appears when the music is like that. Or in a future version, automatically spawn ennemies according to music!

And a new version is now available:

- For NEW PROJECT SETUP: myshmup-setup-project-once.unitypackage
- myshmup.unitypackage (30MB)

News:
- PlayerInfo class added to manage the player ship
- some sound effects
- one music
- some skyboxes, spaceboxes
- temporary scene
- detonator unity package included

Done:
- added some Prefabs: space mine, Planet with halo
- refactored events
- added RequireComponent to ease development on MonoBehavior
- Implemented Weapon system (change, shoot, destroy, pool for bullets)
- corrected Detonator textures import

As the project grows, I would need several beta testers (with different hardware configurations: mainly video cards, different OS, Indie/Pro versions of Unity).

- myshmup.unitypackage - main package with source code (128KB)
- myshmup-artworks.unitypackage - artworks package including Prefabs and a scene (28,5MB)
- Documentation - user guide (PDF)
