fzort - My plan at the moment is to wait a while for some more of the old regulars to sign up, post a few news items on the front page so that it doesn't look like a ghost-town, and then send an announcement email to a few of the big game-dev sites like tigsource and indiegames saying that shmup-dev has relaunched, come check us out. Maybe then would be a good time to have a small compo to attract new members and get the place busy again.

Awesome, I've been fairly AWOL and missed some stuff it seems, but all's well now. Good on you monoRAIL! Also, glad to see motorherp still involved. Maybe now that my new job is settling into a comfort zone I'll get back to developing shmups!

My Gamer name is d4sUnter. So I thought I can use it here, too.
Like the changes here. Its smaller but more clean and straightforward.

I would love to help with the compo. Really liked that here It was the soil for some very nice ideas. I can make it public at my university and also the game companies here in Hamburg(Germany). Some of them are really interested in funny events like that. They often participate in and organize game jams.

Never heard of this forum or the previous one and I sucks at programming but as a shmup fan and gamemaking enthusiast I tought I would hang around here for a while (:
