AudioGL - music/sound effects tool
AudioGL has recently gone into a paid beta phase. It looks like a great tool for making music and sound-effects for shmups.

Re: AudioGL - music/sound effects tool
I've been using the AudioGL beta for a while now and I really like it. I'm looking forward to making some sounds for a shmup, when I finally have some free time for shmup development again. In the meantime here's a video demonstration of some of the default instruments in AudioGL.

It definitely has a spiffy way of visualizing timelines.
(I still like simple things like Dr. Petter's SFXR but those effects tend to work best with retro/8-bit style visuals.)

Yeah I've used it quite a bit.
Here is a flash version of it you can try, (which quite un-funnily can crash the sound you are making now and again)

I managed to get Orangator to produce some cool space-like SFX too, which is fine for an ancient program.

SFXR has been integrated into Unity recently, so you can generate your sounds on the fly rather than creating .wavs to play later.
