GameMaker: Studio's DRM screws up legitimate projects

Oh wow.

Anyone here got hit by this? I feel really sorry for any dev who had their hard work trashed for the sake of this stupid prank.

YoYo's recent direction in turning GameMaker from an accessible development solution for everyone to a mere profit cow seems to have backfired a big time. After the subpar support GameMaker 8.1 received just after I purchased it, I do not personally object to their fate.

edit: Oh, this is actually half a year old. Oh well. Might still be good to know.

I remember reading about that when it just came out. As usual, DRM only harms legitimate buyers, the cracked versions don't have the DRM issues!
