When playing in EASY mode, the level 1 boss is slightly easier to defeat since its webs are now easier to avoid.

NORMAL mode is the difficulty level current players of the game have already experienced, so no change there.

HARD mode is only for the most hardcore of SHMUP players!!

I Just wanted to tell you about my new shoot 'em up that I've been developing over the last 2 years which I have decided to call Andromeda Wing. I have used C++ and DirectX 9 when coding the game engine and 3DS Max to create the graphics. I have drawn a lot of inspiration from Xenon 2 on the Amiga which is a game I used to love playing in my younger years.

I have included spiders and centipedes that emerge from tunnels and you can check it out here on Steam:



It is a solo project and will be my first commercial release when it becomes available to buy and download in late August / early September.

GAME DETAILS

9 free choice levels with 3 difficulties: easy, normal and hard.
These levels help to prepare for other 2 locked levels.

The control is simple:

[*] Touch any option to select. Touch again the selected option to accept.
[*] Drag the airplane with the finger to move to both sides.
[*] Touch the airplane for shoot the artillery.

The game has options to annul the BG Music, Pause game & back to Main title.

Don't you have too much time to play? This mini-game is ideal for you!
If you're a fan of this type of games, you'll love Air Force Gear which provides you hours of fun.

You can repeat the game as many times as you wish by restarting the rankings.

GAME GOALS

You must become at the end of each level keeping your damage bar (where you control the airplane status) and the fuel bar (which is automatically emptied).

Whether the damage bar or the fuel bar reaches 0: game over.
When you destroy enemy airplanes, you can receive an item:

AMMO

Normal: Change the current ammo to the default ammo (unlimited shots that they do 1 damage point).
Maverick: The next 10 shots do 2 damage point.
Harrington: The next 10 shots do 3 damage point.

HEALTH

Repair: You recover 5 damage points.
+Fuel: You recharge 5 fuel points.

POWER DOWN

Lapsed Fuel: You lose 5 fuel points.

You can review the game ranking accessing from the main title. Take into account that your ranking can change depending either if you have destroyed all the enemy airplanes or not.

We would like to introduce you all to the game our small team has been working on for the last three years: Dark Flow. We are attempting to break ground in several directions at once, and ours is not a typical shoot-em-up--especially in the context of the danmaku-dominated shmup scene of the last few years.

Our game might be best described as a "cinematic shoot-em-up." Neither a strictly horizontal or vertical scroller, our goal with Dark Flow is to create a different kind of scripted gameplay experience. The holy grail of the "interactive movie" has been sought after by many game genres, and we think that the shmup gameplay formula offers a unique opportunity towards this goal. Think Philosoma, Ether Vapor, or Astebreed...but with an even more dynamic camera rig:

The enemy scripting, bullet pattern design, and boss gameplay is still developing, and we would really appreciate some input from some shmup enthusiasts such as yourselves. Towards this end, we are requesting a little playtesting help. If you have a game in development of your own we would be happy to do the same for you in return (although we would need a Mac build.)

I should let you know though that I can't fix everything. I'm still a noob at this sort of thing. The biggest problem is with the modules. There was a permission change in Unity that made what it was accessing non accessible.


Please let me know if you are at all interested in working together to fix this up. I don't think OP is active at all anymore.

I'm developing Dogos an open world shump.
I'm the programmer and director of development. All the tools, engine, etc. are developed in house.
So far the game is working, level are almost done.
Right now I'm working in the bosses.

I have some bullet movement:

- Directional
- Around Direction
- Wave
- Homing
- Flak
- 2 step homing

I made up the names, not sure if its all the people use.
I try to give the level designer some freedom.
Anyone know a tool, or tutorial how to let people edit weapon behaviors?

Right now a weapon in the game has:

- bullet: describe how the bullet looks, trail, hit fix, lighting, etc
- trigger: when the fire button in pressed: fire delay, number of shoots, etc..
- target: where the bullet goes
- movement: how the bullet moves

I have several of each one, can have parameters, but I need to code each new one.

Maybe is a way to do it simpler, or better.
